Tanya Eggert, Old Enough
Welder/Brazer
I've been running since I was 15 here and there. I have been
running consistently for 2 years.
I started running consistently because two of my co-workers
thought I took the races too easy (I only ran them for a
workout). Then they challenged me with the Rock Cut Trail
Series. So I had to start training.
If I could no longer run, I would lift weights and bike.
My favorite run is the Rock Cut trail series. You never know
what you are in for. THANKS LARRY!
I like to run with....I am a TRAILRUNNER! So I run with the
Coyote's and the Big Bad Wolves. I didn't make the
supermodel team, I was too dirty!
Something most people don't know about me is....I don't know
but let's keep it hidden.
My favorite thing to do after a hard workout is...Leslie's Yoga
Class..This class is not a normal yoga class. It's okay to have
gas in her class, she'll bring a candle to freshen the air - right
Pat?
I am inspired by..... the bootie shorts. I can't help it. They flip/flop with
every stride. Its a beautiful thing.
I run for the pure enjoyment of running.
The local runner I most admire is Shannon Ring, she has my
dream....passing those men one by one, taking them
down...oops, did I say that out loud?....Really, she is just a
wonderful person. Okay, forget the nice stuff. She can tear up the
pavement! You go, GIRL!
To push myself on a run, I think winning...a bar of soap.
(It's a long story.)
My greatest running accomplishment is winning the Rock Cut
Hobo Run in 2007. I was just running scared because Dave and
Jared were behind me. I didn't want them to catch up.
My next goal is to beat the Rock Cut Hobo Run's record. Larry: you are stuck with me for a while.
My advice to other runners....LET'S PARTY!!!! Really, join a
weekly running group, you meet alot of wonderful people and the
runs wind up being like a party.
I plan to run until tomorrow. Tomorrow never ends.
